ISO 9001 can be a real game-changer for any business as it helps to improve the organisation’s processes and quality management system and is too beneficial to pass up in this day and age.
In 2020, across 195 countries, there were 1,078,604 certificates gained for ISO 9001* (Quality Management) alone. Across all standards there was an increase in certifications on the previous year by 18%. Part of this significant increase is due to the important growth in the certification to ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management); this standard was published in 2018 and consequently had limited number of certifications in the previous edition of the ISO survey.
The rate of increase for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) has been greater compared to previous years with +4% for ISO 9001 and +12% for ISO 14001 mainly due to an important increase in China.
