Starting the year off on the right foot
It’s all good and well entering the New Year highly motivated but if that is going to leave you and/or your team burnt out after a few months, then this will not serve your business longer term.

For some, a new year presents opportunity for growth, whereas for others, it may seem totally overwhelming. Perhaps you resonate with both of those feelings and that is totally normal. Regardless of where you stand, it is important to recognise this and how it will impact the business year ahead.
It’s all good and well entering the New Year highly motivated but if that is going to leave you and/or your team burnt out after a few months, then this will not serve your business longer term. Strategizing your approach is key! It’s also worth noting that while you may be feeling highly charged, your team may not share that same enthusiasm. Taking time to recognise how they are feeling and to offer your support will help you get the most from them and achieve your goals in 2025.
On the flip side, if you have entered this new year feeling slightly overwhelmed, then be mindful of the impact that this will have on your business. Whilst there is no right or wrong way to feel about the prospect of a new year, you don’t want this to hinder your business over the coming months. As a manager, it’s important to recognise your influence on your team; if you are starting the year unmotivated and disengaged, this feeling will spread and impact the business longer term.
