OUTSOURCED HR · EMPLOYMENT LAW · UK-WIDE

A named HR specialist who picks up when you call, not a call centre.

People problems don't keep to office hours, and they don't wait while you read up on the law. You get one dedicated HR consultant who learns your business, handles the contracts, absence, grievances and awkward conversations, and tells you exactly what to do next. When an issue is live, we get on the calls, draft the letters and sit in the meetings that matter.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

There's a live issue, and it's already eaten your morning.

Most people first come to us mid-problem. The trigger is usually one of these, landing on a desk that was already full.

A grievance has landed

Someone's grievance is now on your desk and the clock is running. Handle the process wrong under pressure and a fair outcome can still turn into a claim.

An absence has dragged on

Someone's been off for weeks and you don't know what you're allowed to do next. Welfare meetings, medical capability, the right order to do things in.

Contracts written in a hurry

You've grown to twenty-odd staff on terms you wrote years ago, fast. Now one of them is disputing what they signed, and you're not sure it holds.

WHAT WORKING WITH US IS LIKE

One named specialist who becomes an extension of your team.

Outsourced HR means a dedicated specialist without one on the payroll. Your consultant learns your business, your people and your history, so you're never explaining the backstory from scratch. Over the year that's a working relationship, not a ticket queue. You ring them directly and the same senior person picks up, whether it's a quick question or a grievance that's turned serious.

WHAT WE HANDLE

The employment work you'd rather not do yourself.

From the routine paperwork to the meeting nobody wants to chair, your named consultant takes it on and does it properly.

Contracts & handbooks

Contracts and employee handbooks that fit your business and stand up when challenged, plus HR policies kept current as the law changes.

Absence & welfare

Absence management handled properly, including welfare meetings and medical capability, so long-term cases are dealt with fairly and lawfully.

Grievances & disputes

Grievances and disputes heard fairly, including as an independent third party when you need someone outside the business to take it on.

Conduct & disciplinary

Conduct and disciplinary matters from the first conversation to the outcome, and dismissals handled so the process holds up.

Restructure & TUPE

Restructures and redundancy planned and run properly, and TUPE advice when staff transfer in or out of your business.

Tribunal support

If a claim does come, we're with you the whole way, working alongside your solicitor so you're not paying legal rates for HR work.

QUESTIONS

Common questions about outsourced HR

How much does outsourced HR cost?
Far less than employing an HR manager, and it scales to your size. As a rough comparison, an in-house HR Advisor in the UK averages around £33,500 a year before training and overheads, whereas outsourced support starts at a monthly fee. We publish our starting prices so you can see if we fit your budget without a sales call. HR retainers start from £90 a month + VAT.
What's the difference between outsourced HR and HR software?
Software stores your records and gives you templates. It can't read a tricky situation, draft a letter for the specific issue in front of you, or chair a disciplinary. A consultant can. Many of our clients run software for the admin and use us for the judgement: the moments where getting it wrong is expensive. We can also support or supply HR software alongside the advice, so you're not choosing one or the other.
Do I need an HR consultant or an employment solicitor?
Most of the time, an HR consultant. We handle the day-to-day and the process: contracts, policies, absence, grievances, disciplinaries, the advice that keeps you out of trouble in the first place. A solicitor steps in when a matter becomes contentious litigation. Good HR support means fewer of those moments, and when one does arise, we work alongside your solicitor so you're not paying legal rates for HR work.
What is TUPE?
TUPE is the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations. In short, when a business or a service contract changes hands, the staff usually transfer to the new employer on their existing terms, and those terms are protected. It catches people out constantly, both when you take staff on and when you lose a contract. We tell you whether TUPE applies, what your duties are, and how to handle the consultation.
Can you help with a live issue right now, or only ongoing support?
Both. If something's happening today, a grievance, an absence, a disciplinary, call us and we'll advise straight away. Many clients first come to us mid-problem, and we stay on as their retained HR afterwards. You don't have to sign up to a long contract to get help with the issue in front of you.
Will I deal with the same person each time?
Yes. You get a named consultant who learns your business and your team. When you call, you reach the person who already knows your situation, not a call centre working from a script. The same specialist handles your contracts, your absence cases and the difficult conversations, so nothing is lost in a handover.
